Another wonderful week at Waunarlwydd! Pride of place this week has to go to our incredible school choir! Their performance at a packed Brangwyn Hall, as part of the NGP music festival, was nothing short of amazing! The confidence, enthusiasm and talent they showed was remarkable! All the children should be full of pride. As a school, and no doubt families, we are incredibly proud! Massive well done to all involved!

We welcomed the Urdd team to school today as the children enjoyed a day filled with outdoor learning and Welsh. We've had den-making, orienteering and team-building challenges with all the children enjoying a great day! A big thanks to the Urdd team! Diolch pawb!

A special mention to our football team. They took part in a tournament last week and, once again, exemplified their wonderful skills, teamwork and sense of sportsmanship! Well done team!

Next week we look forward to our 'Castle Banquets' in Years 1, 2 and 3. The children are looking forward to welcoming their special visitors.

Fundraisers set to take on the London Marathon for St Nic’s - St ...Our very own Mrs Cornish is working her socks off at the moment preparing for the London Marathon. She is stepping out of her comfort zone and we are all confident that she will set a great example of what can be achieved when you put your mind to it! The children will be helping Mrs Cornish decide on a cause to raise money for next week. We will let you know how you can donate if you wish to. Good luck Mrs C!

Another good week for attendance with a whole school average of 92.9%. Our top attending class this week is Reception with an amazing 98%! Please remember, if you have any concerns regarding attendance, we are here to help!

Remember, this is 'OUR SCHOOL' and, as always, if you have any queries, concerns or ideas, don’t hesitate in making contact!

Have a wonderful weekend!

Diolch pawb!
